To honor or memorialize someone this Easter, purchase a lily to decorate the chancel for April 12. Lilies are $13 each. You can <order online now>, purchase one in the historical lobby on Sundays through March 22, or send a check to Diane Maye at P.O. Box 1008, Huntersville, NC 28070. Please include the name of the person you wish to honor or memorialize, and indicate whether the order is an honorarium or memorial. The final day to order lilies is Wednesday, April 1.
On Sunday, March 22, a combined class during the Formation hour will revisit messages from this year’s Willard Lecture with Father Greg Boyle. The Reverend Pen Peery will lead this class, which will include clips from the lecture and discussion in Wood Fellowship Overflow at 10 a.m. All are invited.
The Reverend Robert Galloway will lead a Bible study on Wednesdays at noon during Lent. Lunch will be available for a suggested $8. Bring co-workers, neighbors and friends to this mid-week opportunity to refocus and restore. This will meet in Wood Fellowship Hall.
All members are encouraged to attend one of the Opening Doors Capital Campaign information sessions planned during March. These sessions are your opportunity to hear about the scope of the work that will be possible when we reach our campaign goals—including work in our Sanctuary, mission work and infrastructure. Make plans now to attend one of these remaining sessions:
First Reads, our quarterly congregational book group, will read and discuss The Divine Dance: The Trinity and Your Transformation by Richard Rohr. This book suggests a shift in the way that we consider the Trinity and images of God. Rohr writes, “…the gift of the Trinity… offers a grounded reconnection with God, self, others and world…” The discussion will take place on Thursday, March 26, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at various locations offsite. To sign up, email the Reverend Robert Galloway
