For over 40 years, First Presbyterian Church has broadcast its Sunday morning worship service over Channel 9 WSOC-TV at 11 a.m. on Sunday mornings. The broadcast is close-captioned.
The mission of the TV Ministry is to bring a traditional Presbyterian Worship service into the homes of people who cannot attend church. Each week over 22,000 people, not including viewers who are in hospitals, nursing homes and retirement homes view this service. In the course of these years, the TV Ministry has heard from literally thousands of viewers who have let us know how very much these services mean to them.
