In the sacrament of baptism for infants, parents affirm their responsibility to provide for the spiritual needs of their children in the home. The congregation vows to provide through the church the adequate nurture for all our children. Baptism, therefore, is an important occasion for families and church alike.
Infant baptisms are held during the 9 & 11 Sunday morning services. Last year we baptized 93 individuals. By anonymous donation, we have available two historic baptism gowns for those who may want to borrow them.
We encourage members to call to schedule infant baptisms between the ages of 3-6 months. Baptisms for other ages may be arranged as well, including baptisms for adults. You may contact Caren Loftin Hall at 704-927-0254, or at chall@firstpres-charlotte.org
