Larry and Inge Sthreshley- Democratic Republic of Congo
The Sthreshley's develop health ministry strategies and analyze the effectiveness of health service delivery systems. They help local Presbyterian (USA) churches link with international AIDS research groups, work with health centers to develop home gardens to address malnutrition, and have recently completed a proposal for the World Food Program to provide 470 tons of food for malnourished children in Kinsheasa through the church. Elizabeth Little- Congregant Elizabeth Little serves the Gulf Coast region of the united states as director of the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance work camps. Overseeing volunteer camps, construction, and new initiatives and serving as liaison to presbyteries and churches. Elizabeth felt God tugging her to mission work through her mission trips and activities at First Presbyterian. In 2006 she left her job in Charlotte to become a full-time mission worker. Dr. Louis and Susan Sutton- Chad, Africa
One of the legacies from the Suttons’ work in Chad is The Learning Center. This brand new facility was been built on land purchased with funds from First Presbyterian Church’s First Things First benevolence component. The 2006 First Presbyterian raised money to purchase books, equipment and supplies so The Learning Center can open, fully stocked with materials that will illuminate the world of learning for people burdened by poverty and deprivation.

| Drs. Stan and Mia Topple, M.D. - Drs. Stan and Mia Topple are medical doctors serving as long-term volunteers in Kenya. They work in partnership with the Presbyterian church of East Africa. Stan is a surgeon and advisor at the Kikuyu Orthopedic Rehabilitation Centre in Kikuyu, Kenya. Mia has served as a dermatologist at Kikuyu General Hospital. Recent years have found the Topples developing dermatology and orthopaedic services in other mission hospitals as well as Kikuyu.
