 Christian Education Summary Goal Statements
Children: Across the varied children’s ministries of First Presbyterian Church, we seek to foster in our children an awareness of the family of faith as a place identified by love, a sense of welcoming acceptance and belonging, and a yearning to learn and grow with Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Youth: In all our educational work with our youth we seek to create a faith that can thrive in Middle School and High School as well as survive the College experience and the shock of introduction to the world of work.
Adults: Through regular Sunday classes, weekday classes and studies, and special events, we strive to develop a spiritual and personal faith that can maintain hope, enliven love, instill enthusiasm; provide a Christian framework for facing difficult questions; and sustain courage in the face of life’s mature realities [anxiety, guilt, dying, and the like.]
