How does the Waiting List work at First Presbyterian?
We maintain a waiting list with the following tiers:
- Full time Ministers
- Church Member over 1 year with sibling
- Full Time Program Staff
- Church Member over 1 year
- Church Member under 1 year with sibling
- Non-Church Member/Sibling
- Church Member under 1 year
- Full Time Support Staff
- Grandchildren of Church Member (effective 4/1/2008)
- Non-Church Member
Placement on the waiting list is based on the age and/or due date of the child, and the date we received the application and fee.
Is there a fee to be added to the Waiting List?
There is a nonrefundable family fee of $75 that is required to be turned in with your waiting list application. In addition, an annual renewal fee of $25 is required to maintain your name on the waiting list.
How do I place my child on the First Presbyterian Church CDC Waiting List?
No one is under any obligation to apply for a slot, but we do ask that a tour of this facility is taken prior to receiving/completing the form. We understand that some families are unable to tour due to circumstances beyond their control, such as a pregnancy warranting complete bed rest or a long distance inquiry; in such cases we will be glad to mail the tour packet to them, but insist they visit at their earliest convenience. There is a $75 nonrefundable waiting list application fee.
How do I sign up for a tour at First Presbyterian?
To sign up for a tour, please contact the center at (704) 376-8302. Tours are offered every month.
How often does the waiting list get updated?
Every month, annual renewal letters are mailed and those wishing to be removed are deleted.
How long do I have to decide if my child is offered a spot at First Presbyterian?
We ask for an immediate (within 24 hours) response, having only a two-week turn-around to fill the slot. In addition, a letter of commitment and first week’s tuition are required to secure your child’s slot in the center. Due to the current demand for services, a family only gets the option of declining an available slot twice within a sixth month period. After the second decline, the family’s application will be moved to the bottom of the current list.
What are the Tuition Rates at First Presbyterian?
Effective January 1, 2008, the tuition rates are the following:
$947/month – Caterpillars, Centepedes and Butterflies (Infants, Young 1’s and Older 1’s)
$875/month – Crickets (2's)
$870/month -- Doodlebugs (2’s)
$865/month – Fireflies (3’s)
$795/month – Busybees (4’s)
$795/month – Hornets (5’s)
There is a one time registration fee of $50 per child upon enrollment. In addition, the center offers the option to participate in automatic draft payments. |
