"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. Awe came upon everyone, because many wonders and signs were being done by the apostles. All who believed were together and had all things in common; they would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds to all, as any had need. Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved."
Acts 2:42-47
What is ChristCare?
ChristCare is a ministry of small groups, usually 5-12 people, with a trained group leader. Groups meet regularly, in homes or at church, and provide an environment to share with and care for others to experience the love of Christ in a personal way.
ChristCare group members encourage one another to grow as Jesus' disciples. They pray together, search the Scriptures, and share victories and challenges as they strive to live as more fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
ChristCare group meetings focus on four components:
Community Building and Care. We purposefully build a sense of community within our group and care for one another in a personal way that is often not possible in larger gatherings;
Biblical Equipping. More than a Bible study, biblical equipping is a structured way to engage with Holy Scripture and apply it to our daily lives in meaningful ways;
Missional Service. As a vital part of our Christian lives, we reach out to serve others in large or small ways that fit our God-given talents and skills;
Prayer and Worship. We pray together, prompting prayer to become an important part of our daily lives.
While the opportunity for growth in each of these areas is always a possibility, no one is ever made to feel “put on the spot” or uncomfortable. Meeting people where they are, while opening a door for growth in Christ, moves us toward the goal of ChristCare groups, which is transformation.
Each group is open to expand and welcomes you wherever you are on your journey of faith. Visit a current group by contacting a leader directly or by submitting the form below.
