Christ Care Groups
Christ Care is a small group ministry with four components: Prayer and Worship, Building Community and Care, Biblical Equipping, and Mission Service. |

ChristCare groups are:
- An opportunity for members to grow deeper in their faith and closer to one another
- 5 – 12 members meeting regularly, under the guidance of trained leaders, to pray, learn, and share
- A stimulus to mission and service
- “Circles of Care with Christ at the Center”
Why are we starting this program?
- In response to a loud cry heard from members (through a congregational survey and as articulated in the Long Range Plan) for greater connection, with Christ and one another
- ChristCare is a ministry of Stephens Ministry Inc., in whose methods and theology we have enormous confidence
Who leads the groups?
- ChristCare will be a ministry under the supervision of the Associate Minister for Christian Education
- ChristCare has a strong leadership structure, of Equippers and Leaders
- Equippers receive extensive training and they in turn train the Leaders
- Our initial Equippers are Mary Bowman and Doug Wilson
How often and where do the groups meet?
- Groups will meet regularly on a schedule set by the group itself
- The suggested patterns are to meet weekly or every other week
- Groups can choose to meet in members’ homes, in office buildings, or in the church
How can I become involved?
- Pray for the success of this new venture.
- Be open to the leading of the Spirit if you are approached to be a leader

When will the groups be starting?
- Leaders will be recruited and trained over the coming months
- Launch date for the groups to begin is January, 2008.
