“Healthy Bodies, Healthy Spirits, Healthy Communities”
Just as the early Christians’ worship was centered around a shared meal, our own sharing of food and fellowship with one another brings rich opportunities in our life together.
First Presbyterian Church provides thousands of meals each year for congregational lunches, Presbyterian Women gatherings, lunch after Wednesday worship service, dinner on Wednesday evenings, on Sundays for the Presbyterian Youth Connection and many other outreach events.
The Fellowship and Food Service Committee’s goal is to ensure that all events, where food is served, provide an opportunity to grow in fellowship. The cost of our food service ministry is offset by charging a modest price for most meals. The committee has found that food quality and accurate planning go hand in hand. As a result, an Event Planning Process and Event Checklist were created to walk church members through the planning and implementation of a special event.
